Alicia Adamson currently serves as the Executive Director at the Brookline Teen Center. With vision and the belief in the potential of all young people, she is leading the BTC to its next level of growth. She drives the fundraising strategy, program design, board engagement, community impact and communications for the center.

Alicia brings close to 20 years of experience and success in nonprofit leadership, external affairs, events and marketing. Alicia is a dynamic leader who galvanizes teams around a shared vision to drive mission impact. She is dedicated to work that promotes access, equity, and shared power.

Prior to joining the Brookline Teen Center, Alicia held key leadership roles in both the for profit and nonprofit sectors at the Boston Debate League, United Way of Mass Bay, Reebok and Kaplan Test Prep & Admissions.

Alicia is the founder emeritus of the National Black Women’s Society Inc. She spent over a decade as the Executive Director of the leading organization designed to empower and cultivate the advancement of women of color in Boston.

Alicia has inspired hundreds of young women from all walks of life while serving as a frequent speaker at conferences, local schools and universities, nonprofits and churches. She is also the author of Walking In Your Truth, an instructional journal, designed for readers to discover their purpose through deep reflection and God’s healing love. She is committed to creating tools and resources that facilitate healing and growth to aide individuals into living the lives they were created to live.

Alicia has a BA in marketing from Simmons University. She resides in Boston with her husband and their three beautiful children.
